Luxury villas in Canggu

Canggu is where most of Bali's best private villas are today. Surf beaches, rice fields squeezed between design cafés and some of the island's best restaurants, all within a few minutes of the house.

The villas

Who Canggu is for

Groups of friends, families with teenagers, celebrations and anyone who wants to eat out every night. Canggu is lively without the density of Kuta, and its villas are among the largest on the island, many with five bedrooms or more.

The area is a patchwork of small neighbourhoods. Berawa is the most polished, close to the beach clubs. Batu Bolong is the surf and nightlife heart. Pererenan and Umalas, a few minutes away, are quieter and greener.

What to expect from a Canggu villa

A private pool is standard. The best houses add rooftop terraces for the sunset, rice field views, gyms, cinema rooms and staff who cook breakfast every morning. Ask for a villa on a small lane rather than on a main road: the quiet is worth the extra minute of driving.

Every house is chosen by Anthony Campana, a Superhost for ten years with more than 1,000 reviews across booking platforms and a 4.9 average rating.

Frequently asked questions

How far is Canggu from Bali airport?

Around 45 minutes to an hour by car, depending on the time of day. We arrange a private transfer on request.

Is Canggu good for families?

Yes, especially in Berawa, Pererenan and Umalas, which are quieter than the centre. Many villas offer cots, high chairs and babysitting on request.

Can I walk to the beach from a Canggu villa?

Some villas are a few minutes' walk from the beach, most are a short scooter or car ride away. Tell the concierge if walking distance matters and the shortlist will reflect it.

Are there large villas in Canggu for groups?

Canggu has the widest choice of large villas in Bali, from five to eight bedrooms, and combinations of neighbouring houses for bigger groups.

Ask the concierge for a personal shortlist, or see the full collection.
