AC Collection / Bali / Pererenan
Pererenan is Canggu's calmer neighbour. Rice fields still run between the houses, the beach is black sand and uncrowded, and the restaurants have quietly become some of the best on the coast.
Families, couples and groups who want Canggu's restaurants within ten minutes but prefer to wake up to birds rather than scooters. It is one of the most requested areas for long stays.
Newer architecture, generous gardens and views over the paddies. Several villas sit along the river or a few steps from the beach at Seseh. Sunsets on the coast here are among the best in Bali.
Every house is chosen by Anthony Campana, a Superhost for ten years with more than 1,000 reviews across booking platforms and a 4.9 average rating.
Pererenan is the village just west of Canggu, about five to ten minutes by car from Batu Bolong and Berawa. Most guests treat it as the quiet side of Canggu.
The beach is beautiful for walks and sunsets, but the currents can be strong. Surfers love it; for swimming, the villa pool is the safer choice.
Around 50 minutes to an hour and a quarter depending on traffic.
